Experienced Furniture Maker
You’re the furniture maker colleagues come to with a tricky detail. On a technical drawing you see not just how a piece goes together, but how it could be smarter, stronger or better-looking.

What you'll make
As an experienced furniture maker you take on the complex and prestigious parts, from drawing to end product. You’re responsible for the quality of your part of the project and the technical go-to person for your colleagues. Your work includes:
- Making complex bespoke furniture and prestigious interior components, from drawing to end product
- Preparing your own work: sequence, materials and supplies
- Guiding less experienced colleagues and apprentices, and passing on the craft
- Thinking along with engineering about buildability, before a drawing reaches the workshop
- Making and assembling bespoke furniture and interior components
- Reading, assessing and applying technical drawings
- Sawing, milling, drilling, gluing, sanding and finishing
- Working with sheet material, solid wood, fittings and other materials
- Adjusting and fitting hinges, locks and hardware
- Working with a range of woodworking machines
- Checking dimensions, quality and finish
- Spotting and solving technical issues
- Coordinating with engineering, work planning and the machining department
- Thinking along about smarter production methods and practical improvements
You work mainly in our well-equipped joinery workshop, with professional tools, an extensive machine park and experienced colleagues around you.
